My passion is
working with people! My name is
Anna Rocio Brown. I was born and
raised in Colombia, South
America. I attained my
bachelor’s degree from Colorado
Christian University with a
Major in Psychology and a Minor
in Biblical Studies. I hold a
Masters Degree in Community and
School Counseling from the
University of Phoenix, Certified
as an Addictions Counselors
Level III. I am bilingual in
English and in Spanish. My areas
of specialization among others
include PTSD, depression,
physical abuse, anxiety
disorders, grief, cultural
challenges, suicide prevention,
affective education classes,
restoring relationships, anger
management, drug and alcohol and
family support groups. I do
individual, family, couples,
teens and children therapy. Ages
served from six years of age up
to sixty years of age. Over
twenty years I have been an avid
advocate and counselor for
children with special learning
abilities, did arduous work with
at-risk youth, individuals with
dual diagnosis and work closely
with women and men involved in
domestic abuse situations and
addictions issues. Closely work
with immigrant children, adults
and refuge families. As a
minority, I am able to relate to
a diverse group of individuals
allowing them to generally feel
a solid connection with me. My
personal interests are reading
pathological criminal profiles
and the Bible with the goal to
develop a much closer
relationship with my Creator in
the search for happiness and my
personal growth for humility and
compassion for others. My
hobbies are reading, hiking and
dancing.
