In Colorado, psychiatric medications may
be prescribed by medical doctors, psychiatrists, and
advanced practice nurses who have prescriptive
authority.
Psychiatric medications can be an effective aid in
therapy. Our prescribers can provide medication
evaluations/recommendations, ongoing medication
management, and medication management with
psychotherapy.
If you are already working with one of our therapists,
he or she may suggest a medication evaluation with one
of our current prescribers. Or, if our prescribers
identify issues that may benefit from psychotherapy they
cannot provide, they will refer you to one of our many
skilled therapists.
To
self-schedule your first appointment with one of our
Psychiatric Medication Prescribers. You MUST select
Medication Evaluation from the Primary Problem drop down
list above.
